Summary


DHI’s Water Transfer service line collects and moves water through poly pipe, lay flat hose and underground pipeline systems from water sources to customer frac jobs. Water Transfer employees work on crews and are responsible for setting up, operating, and rigging down jobs safely. Their work is laborious and performed outdoors in all types of conditions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Multi-skilled and experienced in water transfer rig up, rig down, and water transfer operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that occur during rig up, rig down, and water transfer operations
  • Serves as a lead operator or operator on work on rig up crew and water transfer job as directed
  • Laying and picking up lay flat hose, installing road crossings, unloading pipe, field materials, equipment, connecting lay-flat hose with clamps, installing manifolds, setting, and tying in pumps and other essential equipment for water transfer operations.
  • Observing machine operations, and gauges, and adjust controls to maintain specified conditions
  • Monitoring fuel tote levels at job site
  • Serves as DHI Person in Charge (“PIC”) on assigned jobs as directed
  • Oversees the DHI crew members on the assigned job
  • Driving trucks to transport equipment, personnel and perform job task
  • Responsible for care, cleanliness, and maintenance of the truck assigned to the job
  • Reports any issues immediately to Field Manager and or Director of Operations
  • Following all safety procedures and using proper PPE as required per specific job task
  • Assist in containment and spill clean ups
  • Communicating with other workers, using signals, radios, and telephones
  • Using common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
  • Attending and successfully completing training as directed for DOT, OSHA, and safety

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience and/or equivalent training
  • Must live within 50 miles of Midland, TX
  • Must be detail oriented due to the necessity of safety
  • Must possess strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Able to thrive in a team environment
  • Experience in energy industry a plus
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance


Physical Demands

  • Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
  • Worker will be subject to other physical activities required, to include climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions
  • Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, walking
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to individually lift: Maximum 75 lbs

Work Schedule


  • This position requires 40 hours per week and the willingness to work additional hours when needed.
  • This position will be scheduled on a rotational work schedule of 16 days on and 4 days off or another schedule that meets business needs.
