Summary of the position: The Operation Manager is responsible for the overall management of Maintenance services performed while adhering to the Southview Design sales process and core values. Responsible for the operation of our landscape maintenance services

Duties:

  • Establish and successfully meet key performance indicators for maintenance sales, performance, and client retention.
  • Deliver communications on a consistent basis with Landscape Care Reps and/or Maintenance Supervisors via phone, text, email, or other appropriate technology to maintain excellent communications, high standards, and growing relations
  • Schedule and oversight of both in house crews and subcontractor crews.
  • Visit sites daily to ensure quality and team cohesion. Monitor and give feedback to crews to ensure clients expectations are being met
  • Responsible for maximizing job site efficiencies while maintaining employee morale and safety
  • General machine maintenance
  • Work hands on with staff in the field to provide coaching and better maintenance training
  • Appraise crew performance and resolve any conflict
  • Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients when responding to customer needs or questions.
  • Be flexible in scheduling and supervising of changing crews as the season progresses.
  • Adapts well to schedule changes and be flexible in the fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with all crew members and multiple supervisors. As workloads change, the Production Manager may reallocate the Operations Manager to another team for assistance as he sees fit.
  • Additional duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Managerial occupation. Minimum 3 years of experience in Landscape industry preferred. Strong effective communication skills. Time management skills. Must have a valid drivers license, and an insurable driving record. Computer skills created problem solving, personnel management, organization, and customer service skills/experience preferred. Bilingual -Spanish a plus.

Educational Requirements: Four-year College or University program degree or certificate; or four (or more) years related experience and/or training.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site. Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, up to 100% of a workday.

Work Environment: Exposed to exterior elements (i.e., pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.). External environment with all weather and terrain exposure.
