Who we are: We’re the West Michigan Whitecaps, Class High-A Minor League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. The Whitecaps are in the FUN business and our mission is to provide affordable family entertainment that strengthens the West Michigan community. What you’ll do: You’ll the assist our Operations department with the daily upkeep and operation of LMCU Ballpark. On gamedays, you will help get the ballpark ready and set-up for our fans. During games, you will assist in the parking lot, ballpark upkeep and in other departments as needed. Non-gamedays will consist of ballpark upkeep that ranges from painting, landscape work, power washing and more! Operations Assistants are also utilized as extra hands for special events at LMCU Ballpark such as company picnics, high school baseball, and concerts.
What you need: You'll need the ability to work on your feet for hours at a time. You'll need to be able to hold a level of professionalism and make judgement calls in dealing with guests at LMCU Ballpark. You'll need the ability to multitask and communicate on a high level. Flexibility is key since every day here is different. You’ll need a willingness to work the nights, weekends, the occasional holiday, and in all weather conditions.
