What this job involves:

The Operating Engineer role will require having a strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment for all systems. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Critical Systems) and be multi-skilled in others trades to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.

What is your day to day?

• Perform the maintenance of all building systems including:
• fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, primary switch gear), lighting and temperature controls systems, critical environments, light construction (painting, doors, locks)
• Identify the maintenance objectives of the facility and incorporate those objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, corrective, and reliability maintenance procedures.
• Has in-depth knowledge of all building systems and how they function including HVAC systems.
• Providing customer interface and support

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

• Must have hands-on experience with critical facility, including UPS Systems, emergency generators, and switch-gear
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.
• Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service

Estimated compensation for this position is: 50-60K

Location: This property is situated within a multi-tenant office building in Tampa, FL near Tampa International Airport.

Pay: $29.00 - $30.00 per hour
