SUMMARY OF COMPANY:
OrthoPros of Utah opened its doors in 2008 and provides durable medical equipment to help with recovery, rehabilitation, and injury prevention to patients in the Utah County area. We offer an assortment of equipment including but not limited to: braces and supports, crutch substitutes, bone growth stimulators, red light therapy, and therapeutic modality devices.

OrthoPros services health care providers, including physician practices, orthopedic and sports medicine clinics, physical therapy clinics, hospital systems, patients of the general public, as well as athletes of all levels. We also offer wholesale and resale options for our clientele.

OrthoPros of Utah is seeking a full-time Office Manager to join our team! The Office Manager will work directly in tandem with our Clinic Administrator to be a direct liaison between the provider and the patient, manage all referrals, oversee day-to-day operations and staff, and provide excellent customer service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process new orders for durable medical equipment, via phone call, e-mails, faxes, web portals, and walk-ins.
  • Answers all incoming phone calls from patients, doctor’s offices, and colleagues.
  • Handle all referrals with efficiency, a sense of urgency, frequent communication, and attention to detail.
  • Responsible for compiling information required by billing company as well as ensuring DME staff compliance.
  • Ensures that medical documentation required for reimbursement is procured in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the oversight and day-to-day DME paperwork for billing.
  • Ensure a superior patient experience.
  • Educate patients in regard to insurance plans and provisions, financial responsibility, and collection of patient portion.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is obtained as it relates to payer requirements (insurance verification/authorization), standard operating procedures, and any other compliance requirements.
  • Ensure insurer payer coverage and benefit verification.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of current insurance regulations.
  • Send requests for medical documentation and initiate actions to ensure accurate completion and quick turnaround.
  • Complete sales orders for patients and clinics.
  • EMR Management: Create and update standard operating procedures as it pertains to your role. Optimize & improve efficiency of applications within EMR. Implement thorough note taking within each account.
  • Work directly alongside the Clinic Administrator to manage daily workload and train current and new employees, as needed.
  • Oversee and work in tandem with the rest of the OPU staff to ensure business is running smoothly and patients and clinics are being taken care of.
  • Strategize and formulate how to increase productivity and streamline processes within the business and especially as it pertains to your role.
  • DME Fitter/Clinical Product Consultant: Measure, consult, and fit patients with DME. Provide education to patients on the application, use, care, and expected outcome for products as indicated by the physician instructions and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Maintain a professional and clean personal workspace.
  • Assist in housekeeping maintenance of the OPU office including cleanliness, organization, and maintaining an overall pleasant appearance.
  • Comply with all elements of HIPAA and other required programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is medium demand. Lifting 50 pounds maximum. Medium strength is required to lift supplies and equipment as well as room injured patients that may require assistance. Involves a combination of office/computer work setting and hands-on/clinical setting.

BENEFITS SUMMARY:
Paid time off and health insurance reimbursement.

PAY RANGE:
$37,440 - $41,600

Pay Rate DOE (We will consider applicants from various backgrounds, so pay will be dependent on experience and certifications. ATCs, OR & ortho techs, CNAs, MAs, etc. are encouraged to apply)

SHIFT:
Full-time, 40 hours a week. Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, in-office. No weekends, no evenings. No remote work.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
