We Require
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience performing office, administrative, and clerical duties
  • Post-secondary education may substitute for up to one year of the experience requirement
  • Valid Arizona driver’s License upon hire
  • The Maricopa County Attorney's Office requires a thorough background check of all successful candidates and is authorized to test prospective employees for the presence of illegally accessed drugs. Drug testing is conducted once an offer has been extended and prior to placement

Job Contributions
  • Provide reception services telephonically and in person by promptly prioritizing multiple simultaneous requests and accurately providing information to a variety of customers, including citizens, other County departments, and outside agencies
  • Answer multi-line telephone promptly and professionally, transfer calls, record messages, thoroughly research and accurately respond to inquiries
  • Receive, greet, and check IDs for all incoming visitors in a timely manner
  • Create documents as requested
  • Expedite the hand delivery of case filings and other mail that may be time sensitive
  • Assist with administrative and clerical support to division; assist with special projects, type, file, photocopy, scan, and fax miscellaneous documents
  • Utilize computer to look up and retrieve case information from various databases
  • Work independently with minimal direct oversight from supervisor
Working Conditions
  • Office setting in high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel to and from various county locations for meetings and training, utilizing personal or county vehicle
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds floor to waist, and push/pull up to 20 pounds at a distance of up to 100 feet
Selection Procedure
The Maricopa County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates considered to be the most highly qualified. Those selected will be assessed based on the evaluation of listed education and experience. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a list provided by Human Resources.
