Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Monday - Friday - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with a 30 minute lunch

The role you’ll contribute:

The New Hire Specialist is responsible of ensuring a smooth, efficient and courteous service to applicants, vendors and team members. Communicates and troubleshoots with applicants, vendors and team members to maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport. A member of the Pre-boarding Team accordance with Advent Health policies and applicable laws/regulations. Responsible for employee badge administration process, including granting and tracking badge access as appropriate, maintaining badge supplies, and printer maintenance.

Ensures processes operate efficiently, effectively and are customer-service oriented. Maintains harmony among employees and resolves any issues of concern, addressing complaints or suggestions for process improvement as appropriate.

  • Ensures the pre-boarding process operates in a timely and efficient manner. Focuses on process improvement with recruitment efficiencies as the focal point and facilitates ideas to ensure customer service goals are met.
  • Coordinates with Employee Clinic to facilitate a positive and efficient experience for each candidate.
  • Ensures each potential new hire, prior to the start date, is prepared to attend New Employee Experience (hospital orientation), any required department orientations, and submits information to AdventHealth Benefits Service Center for the new hire to enroll in benefit plans.
  • Facilitates the signing and collection of all employment contracts, sign-on bonuses, referral awards, and relocation reimbursements for all new hires that may be eligible to receive these awards from Advent Health.
  • Provides metrics based on the Pre- boarding team’s workflow and current responsibilities.
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field, OR 2 years of customer service-related experience
  • 2 years of HR experience (Preferred)
  • 2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred)
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification (Preferred)
