The Neurodiagnostic Technologist Assistant is an entry level position in Neurotech's Neurodiagnostic Department. The Tech Assistant will train under Neurodiagnostic Technologists. Immediately upon hire the Tech Assistant will pickup medical equipment from patients' homes and return them to our office, clean equipment, upload EEG data, and serve as a safety escort for our EEG Technologists for in-home EEG hookups. Once training in all required company competencies has been achieved for this level, the Tech Assistant will participate in on-call rotation.

Ideal candidate will have great technology and communication skills as well as interest in the fields of Neurodiagnostics, Neuroscience, health and patient care.

Location:

This position will work from our office in Schaumburg, IL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Learns to measure and mark patient’s head according to 10-20 international system

· Learns to operate Neurotech's equipment and troubleshoot technology issues as necessary

· Drives to patient’s homes and facilities to perform EEG fixes and to pick up equipment

· Maintains patient safety during EEG

· Complies with HIPAA regulations

· Serve as a safety escort for our EEG technologists for in-home EEG hookups

· Cleans and disinfects electrodes and equipment

· Uploads EEG and video data to secure server

· Communicates with lead techs and scheduler to maintain workflow

· Pickup equipment from patient homes and disconnect electrodes from patient, when necessary

· Performs administrative tasks related to patient care as needed

· Follows Neurotech protocols and procedures

· Participates in on-call rotation (once trained)

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Knowledge of PC's and Microsoft Windows

· Driver’s license and good driving record

· CPR certification

· Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Compensation:

Regular hourly rate: $18.00/hour. Wage increase if trained to perform hookups on your own.

On-call Compensation: $3.50 each Weekday on-call hour and $5.55 each Weekend on-call hour. When called out to perform a fix while on-call, employee paid their regular hourly rate.

Schedule:

Full time: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm - 30 to 40 hours per week.

Plus, included in on-call rotation once trained. We provide on call coverage weeknights: 5:00pm - 6:00pm and weekends: Saturdays and Sundays - 8:00am to 2:00pm.
