As the National Insights Manager, your main priorities are to provide National leadership for insights that create top-line strategy and selling tools for Emerging Sales focused on long-term channel strategy. You will lead insights development for monthly communications, retailer top lines, and business planning. You will have a balance of strategic analysis and operational implementation. Projects will include work with eCommerce, Specialty, and Military channels. You will report to the SVP, Emerging Channels, and be located in Santa Monica, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

  • STRATEGIC ANALYSIS & PLANNING

    Lead the development of the Emerging Channels volume plan and forecast

    Ensure the best share and retailer planning processes across Emerging Channels, specifically plan-to-actual gap analysis for volume and budget

    Develop and implement ready-to-use and scalable tools for measuring Goals across all Emerging Channels

    Assess data, generate insights and develop clear action plan to support growth

    Contribute to the development of long-term channel strategy through data analytics, collaboration across all HQ/BU departments and external Retailer network(s) from creation to implementation

  • STANDARD REPORTS AND PROCESSES

    Identify business opportunities across all channels and provide qualitative and quantitative analytic recommendations to drive market improvement

    Develop financial decision support tools for budget and business performance optimization

    Leverage data (Numerator, IRI, Brand data) and work to create the best tools to measure business plans across each Emerging Channel

  • ANALYSIS

    Oversee all content for monthly leadership and commercial review calls, inclusive of current performance, insights, and future focus

    Create Leadership Team briefings using data & insights

    Lead creation of retailer facing executive business updates for our Top Accounts

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    Provide leadership and support from development to implementation including: business case proposals, partner with partners across departments to manage tracking of project milestones (i.e. BP/RE), resource needs as appropriate

    Ad hoc project management including Military Channel, ecommerce channel, Specialty channel, Partnerships/Adjacencies, and Price Pack Architecture

    Communicate and manage all POS ordering with Distribution and Trade Marketing teams for specialty and military.

    Lead Reach project and SaMo cross functional actions needed to bring new accounts live

    Lead Specialty channel operational improvement with PO and DSD service model

    Lead eCommerce content syndication partnerships and content activation

    Oversee enterprise adoption of POSA 2.0

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:
  • 5+ years experience in an analytical management role in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Experience with IRI, Numerator, and syndicated data
  • Knowledge of retail landscape (local and National accounts)
  • High-Level understanding of reporting technology and capabilities
  • Experience interpreting sales data, analyzing results and providing relevant recommendations
  • Sales-orientation, understands connections between data and sales execution
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or experience in lieu of degree
  • English, additional languages an advantage
  • Travel 0-10%
