Job description

Philo Exchange Bank, a locally owned, East Central Illinois financial institution, is seeking a full-time Mortgage Loan Officer.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in mortgage lending
  • Knowledgeable of mortgage products and systems, and tax requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Good organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate loan requests, analyze financial data, and determine qualification of collateral and customer credit history
  • Maintain contact with customers, communicate progress of loan and obtain any required documentation
  • Structure loan to comply with lending practices and federal regulations
  • Establish relationships with realtors, contractors, title officers, appraisers, and attorneys
  • Answer customer calls and walk-in customers to discuss various loan products and qualification information
  • Review appraisals, title work, and insurance
  • Continue to monitor loans after close
  • Perform escrow analysis and generate escrow statements annually
