Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill temp-to-hire Mixer opening with a company located in Plymouth, MN. Interested candidates should have related mixing or compounding experience in a pharmaceutical, cosmetic or food manufacturing environment, be able to physically endure job requirements, and have a strong attention to detail.

Mixer Job Description:

• Weigh and combine ingredients, in accordance with batch record instructions, in mixer and blend for a final product
• Complete batch records and logbooks used for blending and cleans (dry/full) and all equipment used in the process
• Operate blenders and associated accessories
• Properly use scales and checking/charging walk behind lifts daily
• Verify staged items are correct
• Pre-weigh and blend lots and label all items
• Move drums and totes of finished product to proper location
• Observe product and machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction during production run
• Resolve minor problems that may arise with the mixing operation
• Comply with all company safety, GMP's, SOP's and lockout/tag out rules
• Report safety issues or concerns
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and work area to 5S Standards

Mixer Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Related mixing/compounding experience
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical documentation, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Basic computer and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide using grams and kilos)
• Ability to define problems and establish facts
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Physically fit to endure pushing and pulling up to 100 pounds
• Ability climb up and down stairs multiple times a day
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Can handle a dusty environment
• Mechanically inclined
• Safety conscience – follow all FDA and OSHA rules and regulations

Compensation for Mixer

The starting salary for this position is $18.25 to $20.50 per hour.
