Position Overview:

Under the direct supervision of the Service Manager, this position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing Vehicles. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards and policies of Willis Automotive.

What we need from you:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; post secondary training program preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• 1 Year customer-service experience required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured
• Working knowledge of proper use of hand tools
• Intermediate customer-service skills
• Ability to demonstrate above-average mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities:

• This position requires the technician to stand eight hours per shift. He/she will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel frequently. He/she will operate hand and power tools. He/she will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using computerized diagnostic equipment
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Test parts and systems to ensure proper functionality using testing equipment and road-tests
• Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, performing tune-ups, checking fluid levels and rotating tires; replace or repair worn parts, including brake pads and wheel bearings using common hand tools.
• Disassemble and reassemble parts
• Complete all associated records and reports timely and accurately
• Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds of force frequently and 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
