CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • New employees of the Department of Military Affairs will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • New employees of the Department of Military Affairs are required to participate in a direct deposit/electronic transfer program.
  • The Department of Military Affairs is paid on a monthly basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; AND
  • Two (2) years of professional administrative experience or related field.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and process transactions in Integrated Personnel and Pay System to correct Data Quality Index errors for Enlisted and Officer personnel. Update Integrated Personnel and Pay System on all Soldiers for requested updates on a variety of transactions as required.
  • Review and process requests for Federal Recognition and upload requests through eTracker for publishing of Federal Recognition order. Download orders from eTracker once published and update the Integrated Personnel and Pay System as required. Review and process Enlisted Promotion Selections (EPS) from start to finish in Integrated Personnel and Pay System Army (IPPS-A).
  • Review and process Personnel Action Requests submitted through Reserve Component Automation System. Input, publish orders, and update Integrated Personnel and Pay System as required.
  • Receive, review, and process requests for Military Occupational Specialty changes for Warrant Officers for Federal recognition. Update Integrated Personnel and Pay System as required.
  • Compile and calculate military data to determine dates of vital importance throughout a Soldier's career, i.e., promotion service date, promotion eligibility date, DA Board consideration, mandatory removal date, etc.
  • Process and review documents for electronic filing into Soldier's Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPerms) ensuring all documents filed are accurate and correctly named as required.
  • Maintain liaison with servicing data (DPI) processing facility and field managers of interfaced systems to include: (IPPS-A, SIBX, AX, iPERMS, eTrans, eTracker, AFCOS and Sharepoint Web, etc.) Assist in formulating and recommending programs and policies of the Directorate Branch and interprets and administers policies as directed. Carries out assignments given by the Branch/Deputy Branch Chief and acts for them during absences.
