Roles & Responsibilities:

• Must demonstrate a firm understanding of basic electricity and electronics concepts.

• Understanding of Utility Metering infrastructure and the basic industry/regulatory guidelines that govern testing and deployment of utility meters.

• Understands concepts of AMI meter infrastructure and can coordinate for testing AMI meters and supporting network infrastructure components.

• Understanding and use of meter shop testing hardware including test boards, warming boards and their supporting systems.

• Develops, compiles and maintains computer databases and spreadsheets that record work records, schedules, equipment inventories and purchasing records and productivity records.

• Develop processes for Tracking and trending onsite problem detection and resolution and general meter shop workflow processes.

• Research, develop and maintain safety procedures for meter shop in line with industry and regulatory guidelines.

• Coordinates, monitors and reports on progress of this work with the entire team, and cross-functionally with other organization and vendor teams.

• Liaise with meter testing vendors to ensure proper testing of sample groups according to ANSI specifications.

• Maintain physical testing records and update meter test and assetsystems to track meter inventory through entire meter lifecycle.Coordinate to ship and receive meter inventory with vendors and Utility teams.

• Proficiency with software from the following metering manufacturers: Itron, Landis+Gyr, Radian.

• Knowledgeable of the Electricity & Gas Inspection Act of US.
