Overview:
The Clinical Coordinator will not only serve as the primary clinical liaison for the Mental Health Court session, but also be responsible for:
Centurion Forensic Health Services (FHS) is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW or LMHC) to join our forensic services team as the
Mental Health Court Clinical Coordinator in
Worcester District Court located in
Worcester
, MA. This is a
full-time position that will include working collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
The Mental Health Court Session is a newly established specialty court session designed to improve outcomes for people with Mental Health Disorders (who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders) that are involved in the criminal justice system, while improving public safety. The
Mental Health Court Clinical Coordinator reports to the FHS Clinical Supervisor of Specialty Courts who collaborates and communicates with the DMH Area Forensic Director, and the FHS Court Clinic Supervisor.
The Clinical Coordinator will not only serve as the primary clinical liaison for the Mental Health Court session, but also be responsible for:
- Clinical screening of all Mental Health Court referrals using evidence based substance abuse assessment tools;
- Motivational interviewing and client centered treatment planning;
- Outreach and Referrals to treatment programs;
- Case management and regular contact with participants using evidence based approaches to support recovery and reduce recidivism in partnership with probation (who supervise court-ordered conditions) and other criminal justice personnel;
- Work collaboratively with community providers to obtain weekly reports of participant’s status;
- Provide weekly testimony to the court on participants’ status;
- Data collection and maintenance of Mental Health Court files;
- Organization of participant’s graduation, drug court meetings, and community presentations as requested.
Interested candidates must:
- Be licensed as an LICSW, LCSW, LMHC (other credentials may be considered)
- Demonstrate exceptional communication and writing skills;
- Have experience working with individuals with mental health disorders and co-occurring disorders;
- Be able to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team
- Be willing to travel within the State
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Pass a background check
Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm
