KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Build and manage programmatic email sends, including email automations and journeys
  • Collaborate with the Membership Campaign Project Manager in strategizing and creating robust email campaigns for quarterly fundraising efforts, using best practices and available data
  • Improve email response, segmentation and email formatting through rigorous A/B testing; by creating testing plans, documenting results and recommending new strategies
  • Work with teams in Marcom and Audience Engagement to develop consistent branding and content in communications journeys for CPM audiences and members
  • Build reports in Salesforce to create heavily segmented lists used in email sends
  • Use tools like Data Loader to add contacts to email sends
  • Manage Email marketing analytics and reports
  • Contribute to the email copywriting as needed and/or requested
  • Ensure membership email schedules are up-to-date on shared intranet calendar
  • Collaborate with philanthropy team leadership to build and send stewardship, cultivation and fundraising emails for other teams as needed (e.g., planned giving, major gifts, etc.)
  • Create and manage segmented lists for direct mail vendor, which includes data extraction, transformation and delivery of data formatted according to vendor specifications
  • Provide direct mail campaign responses and revenue reports to direct mail vendor per their specifications
  • Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of the CPM

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Ability to manage multiple email campaigns for multiple brands and initiatives in a high-output environment; being flexible to the needs of the team and able to prioritize work
  • Solid understanding of relational databases / CRMs
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Technical proficiency, ability to learn new platforms
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, able to check work

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years experience with nonprofit CRM; including intermediate reporting abilities (Salesforce or ROI preferred)
  • 2 years experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Engaging Networks, or other enterprise level mail sending platform (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
  • Experience with large Salesforce data sets
  • Experience in using Data Loader preferred
  • Experience in fundraising and/or marketing required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  • Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
