Performs clinical testing in at least one of the following departments: Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, or Microbiology. Responsible for writing/reviewing procedures, lectures/lab instruction for medical technology students, training of new employees, and covers department when supervisor is not available. Researches, develops, and assists supervisor with new methods, tests, and instruments.

Education

HS Diploma or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification

Nationally recognized clinical laboratory science certification, credentials or equivalent required.

Experience

• 3 years required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as medical technologist required
• Annual attendance in an external continuing education program and/or instruction of medical technology students, or a special project as assigned by department supervisor required
