WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

As a Medical Incentives Program Assistant, you will work with all members of the healthcare team in a physician’s office or clinic to coordinate patient care information with the objectives of value-based care programs. These programs include Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurers, and other state and federal resources.

You will review patient records and identify ways to proactively improve patient care and satisfaction by focusing on preventative treatment plans, screenings, wellness activities and elimination of duplicate services.

You will assist in developing processes that support quality projects, programs and incentives which will result in positive outcomes for patients and improve financial benefits for the organization.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING IN YOU:

Post-secondary education (at least one year) in business or related field, healthcare administration, or clinical healthcare field.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in person, over the phone and electronically.

Confidence working with computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite of Products.

Self-motivated, enjoys problem solving with both people and data.

WHAT WOULD BE GREAT FOR THIS ROLE BUT NOT NECESSARY TO APPLY:

At least two years working in healthcare.

Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) or other clinically equivalent experience.

Experience using EHR technology, such as NextGen, Allscipts, eClincal Works, and Cerner Powerchart.

Knowledge of Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and other ambulatory quality measures.

WHAT YOUR DAILY ACTIVITES AND EXPECTATION WILL BE IN THIS ROLE:

Coordinating quality projects, payer quality programs and incentives and developing action plans to ensure practice processes in place to capture available monies.

Reviews and contributes to assessment and appropriateness of provider offices, working closely with office administration and managers.

Develops and maintains an atmosphere of personalized service through individual contact with key healthcare administrators, providers, community leaders, and individuals throughout the community.

Collaborates with Physician Hospital Organization, administration, providers, and insurers on current and future quality and process improvement initiatives. Develops individualized goals.

Evaluates plans to meet triple aim of cost, quality, and patient satisfaction, demonstrates creative alternatives and proactive approach in problem solving.

Liaison between hospital, office, and contracted payers, vendors, community resources, and other providers.

Ability to delegate appropriate tasks to members of the team and follow through to make sure tasks were completed.

Coordination of special event/projects to support the quality goals.

Select priorities and organize work and time to meet them.
