Job Description:
Obtains all First Reports of Injury via phone, fax, or email box. Assigns or forwards to appropriate staff member to assign and enters detailed information into MCO system. Initiates 3-point contact on all claims received and medically manages Ohio State Fund workers’ compensation claims for those injured workers that are continuing to work.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION: High school degree or equivalency required. Post-secondary education degree preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of medical terminology and previous medical claims beneficial.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to read and write the English language. Must be computer literate.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: n/a
- OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Medical terminology and/or previous experience in a medical setting.
