Position: Medical Assistant

Campus: Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783

Duration: 13 Months Contract

Pay Rate: $29/hr.

Shift: 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM

Duties:

· The Medical Clinic Assistant (MA) in the physician office practices assists the physician and other staff so the office runs efficiently.

· The MA provides direct patient care services such as routine vital signs and gathers pertinent medical history.

· The MA educates and prepares the patient for office procedures and assists the doctor in collecting and preparing specimens.

· The MA collects the appropriate informed consent forms and prepares the surgical packet.

· Under the direct supervision of the physician, the MA administers injections.

· As directed by the physician, the MA notifies the patient of test results and the recommended care plan.

Requirements:

• 2+ Years of MA Experience - Required
• Perm address must be 100+ miles from facility location – Required.
• Travelers must have their own vehicle for assignment.
• Must look into housing prior to submittal.
• Looking for candidates in Michigan or the Surrounding States
• Previous Travel Experience - Highly Preferred
• Will take Certified or Non-Certified Medical Assistants
• COVID Vaccine Required - Exemptions allowed.

Salary: $29.00 per hour

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
