The Materials Analyst will work under the direction of a supervisor to analyze, procure, and coordinate materials and tooling needs to support various aircraft maintenance including: heavy check, QEC, scheduled maintenance, AOG aircraft, and other company needs. This position ensures compliance with guidelines of the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and FAA rules and regulations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Through continual analysis determine and maintain inventory levels as defined by business plan. Ensure inventory levels (Max/Min/ROP) are appropriately set so safety stock positions are beneficial to both financial and operational performance.
  • Coordinate, manage, and analyze all part movements utilizing close coordination with interfaces such as Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Leaders, Technical Stores and Component Repair Group ensuring parts are available for scheduled maintenance while minimizing parts transfers and associated shipping costs.
  • Responsible for tactical processing of requisitions / purchase orders for parts, equipment and supplies ensuring availability for maintenance activities.
  • Support parts requirements for Heavy Check & QEC with close coordination with applicable vendor(s). Actively making decisions on purchase or transfer of parts to support HC. Maintain company database for tracking requested parts.
  • Analyze parts consumption data and use this information to continually improve scheduled maintenance task bill of materials.
  • Monitor unserviceable & limbo inventory collaborating with interfaces such as Component Repair, Tech Stores, Inspection, & Maintenance Production management to facilitate timely disposition.
  • Point person to communicate and respond to parts requirements for AOG aircraft. Responsible for procurement and shipping of materials to support AOG aircraft. Ensure timely return of unused or removed parts back to an Air Wisconsin warehouse.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor metrics deemed important for accomplishment of departmental goals such as measuring Materials Planner impact on aircraft out of service times, managing inventory growth, reducing shipping costs, decreasing parts transfers, ensuring parts are on hand for scheduled maintenance, and reduction of materials spend for heavy check.
  • Available to assist or work a third shift schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Business Administration, Supply Chain, related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Materials Planning, or Analyst position preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail orientated in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Available to assist or work a third shift schedule.
  • Airline experience preferred.
  • No licenses required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, e-mail and AS400 applications with emphasis on strong Excel skills required.
