RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Manage and implement contracts to support required service levels, quality requirements, inventory levels, and cost objectives on raw materials, components, services, and new equipment purchases.

 Serves as process owner of the Quality Management System core process "Purchasing".

 Maintain measurement tools and criteria to evaluate supplier performance.

 Support methods and procedures evaluate alternate sources of supply.

 Maintains inventory of raw materials and components at an acceptable level to maintain the service level required for JIT manufacturing. Develop and implement supplier pull systems to support this requirement.

 Process and follow up on SCARS (Supplier Corrective Action Request) to insure permanent corrective action is implemented by the supplier.

 Resolve invoicing discrepancies as necessary.

 Maintain past due at an acceptable level.

 Provide assistance and act as liaison in obtaining supplier provided technical support as requested.

 Develop and maintain departmental procedures and WI's in accordance with ISO standards.

 Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, such as OSHA standards, TS16949, and ISO 14001 policies and procedures.

 Insures suppliers are manufacturing to FM's latest specification standard.

 Manage divisional projects for MRO.

 Prepare reports to meet appropriate deadlines.

 Perform other duties as required.


EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree preferred with emphasis business administration or business related field or high school diploma with required experience.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

 Five (5) Years Purchasing, Production or Quality experience in a Manufacturing environment.

 Extensive Knowledge of Purchasing / Inventory Control/ Planning processes and systems

 Ability to read and interpret documents such as product and material specifications, procedure and training manuals.

 Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

 Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers or employees.

 Analytical abilities including strong math skills necessary to plan and prioritize work, complete work on schedule and maintain required records and logs. Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

 Demonstrated skills in the operation of various computer programs including, SAP, Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, Access,and Powerpoint.
