As the Credit Card Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible and accountable for defining the overall marketing strategy for the credit card portfolio. You will develop and lead marketing campaigns to drive new account acquisition, stimulate spend and grow portfolio balances.

Who You Are:

  • Accomplished marketer with 7+ years in financial services; ideally 4+ years experience supporting direct to consumer credit card.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and leading data-driven, strategic marketing plans that can be translated into actionable marketing plans that produce measurable results.
  • Proficient at leading and managing acquisition and engagement marketing campaigns that include credit card portfolio growth, balance transfers, spend stimulation, rewards management and retention.
  • Possess a deep understanding of business segment financials, creating and managing a marketing budget, developing overall strategic marketing plans that align to card product team.
  • Skilled in translating analysis and performance reporting into business decisions.
  • Expert storyteller who can clearly communicate verbally and in written format to a wide audience, including Executive Leadership.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and lead the marketing strategies that drive acquisition and deepening for the credit card portfolio.
  • Communicate thoroughly with stakeholders to build awareness of the marketing strategy and impact to the business.
  • Operate from a customer-lens to create end-to-end customer journeys, constantly experimenting with targeting, creative and offers to improve results.
  • Develop marketing business cases, manage go to market plans, create test and learn agendas, socialize and gain alignment from cross-functional teams and partners.
  • Work with segment and analytics teams to develop audience target strategies, including model development and selection criteria.
  • Analyze campaign results and make recommendations to optimize to improve future campaign results, create efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and monitor competitor analysis and its impacts to the business.
  • Align messaging and positioning with the Huntington brand and ‘Looking Out For People’ philosophy to uniquely differentiate our products and services in the marketplace.
  • Assist with and review research with segment, to quantify value proposition for inputs to pricing analysis and marketing collateral.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing required
  • Understanding of marketing automation best practices, lead scoring, and list segmentation
  • Experience working closely with the insights team to design and execute learning plans that draw clear and compelling outcomes.
  • Experience partnering with the analytics team to understand the return on marketing investment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Workfront, Adobe Analytics
