Provides administrative assistance to the Marketing Director with all duties and special projects.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Provides administrative assistance to the Marketing Director with all duties and special projects; Acts as the liaison between the Marketing Department and company employees; Monitors and organizes employee participation in civic functions and bank sponsored events; Coordinates the bank’s participation at Rio Grande Valley Viper’s events (NBA D-League); Responsible for report gathering, business card orders, retail project assignments, and for all bank promotions as instructed by Marketing Director; Contacts vendors to obtain bids for bank promotional items; Coordinates set up of bank sponsored events such as ribbon cuttings, grand openings, trade shows, and other events
  • Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations, and all established bank policies and procedures
  • Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML

  • A self-starting team player who possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline
  • Must have a minimum of two years previous experience in Marketing (four years prior experience in Marketing or Public Relations at a large financial institution with multiple locations and markets is preferred)
  • PC literacy and knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software
  • Flexibility, professionalism, ability to work in a fast paced environment and perform a variety of tasks with numerous interruptions
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration as well as the ability to multi-task
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Current driver’s license and possess reliable vehicle to visit branches or attend bank sponsored events
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule Monday through Fridays with occasional weekends or evening hours as needed, including all Rio Grande Valley Viper home games as scheduled from December-April on various dates throughout the basketball season
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. in order to carry boxes, banners, promotional items and displays
  • Position requires the ability to sit for long periods in front of a personal computer, which may cause visual eye strain
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired


ORGANIZATION

  • This position reports to the Marketing Director
  • This position does not oversee other positions


TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

All employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function. In all situations, employees must ensure that their actions fully comply with all federal banking laws and regulations, including internal bank policies and procedures. Failure to adhere to these requirements will be grounds for disciplinary action, including probation and possible termination.
