Job Description:

Tranco Global is seeking a highly motivated top performer to join our team as Manager of International Sales. This individual will need to be experienced in international freight forwarding and have a competitive spirit. This position is a corporate field sales role based in Chicago, IL, but reports directly to the corporate headquarters in Chattanooga, TN. The successful candidate will travel to meet customers, and report to the office as needed. This individual will develop sales strategies and be responsible for attracting new clients and customers. Job Duties

  • Research, qualify, and solicit new business
  • Make outbound telephone calls to prospective and existing customers.
  • Schedule and conduct face-to-face sales meetings with prospects and existing customers.
  • Negotiate rates and pricing with prospects and existing customers.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, agents, and co-workers, both domestically and internationally
  • Enter sales activity into the Tranco computer system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain professional conduct with colleagues and customers.
  • Adhere to Tranco policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all government regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to sell Tranco Global services to new customers.
  • Must have experience working for an international freight forwarder.
  • Three (3) plus years of international freight forwarding experience (air, ocean, and customs clearance)
  • Experience in sales and business development
  • Overnight travel required (Estimated – 30%)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office computer skills
  • Ability to stay current with the Company’s KPIs
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • CargoWise system experience a plus
