Summary: Under the direction of the Lead Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technician II completes preventative maintenance and repair of plant equipment to ensure uninterrupted day-to-day operations. Ensures that all work activities are conducted in a safe and orderly operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Performs repair, maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks for all processing equipment. Provides direction to team members as needed.

2. Performance diagnostic evaluation of equipment and creates plan of action for operational problems.

3. Responds to unplanned operational or maintenance events.

4. Reports to emergency call outs, troubleshoots programs and takes actions to ensure plant and system integrity.

5. Perform preventative maintenance tasks including lubrication, inspection, and adjustments.

6. Perform welding tasks, troubleshooting and repair on pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing and electrical systems.

7. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems, to include motor controls, AC/DC control circuits, and sensors.

8. Document and notify management in the event of any condition that may pose a risk to safety including physical, biological, or chemical hazards.

9. Troubleshoot PLC’s.

10. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with no supervision.

11. Follows all inventory and supply replacement part procedures.

12. Operates power driven machinery such as forklifts, boom trucks, cranes, jack hammers, tampers or other similarly sized equipment.

13. Conducts self in a professional manner at all times.

14. Maintains good relations with fellow employees, informs supervisor and others of employee complaints and concerns in an expedient manner.

15. Effectively communicates with employees and supervisors.

16. Issues praise as appropriate.

17. Cross train employees to ensure maintenance coverage within assigned shift.

18. Maintain a clean work area at all times.

19. Ensures regulatory compliance of maintenance programs and processes with federal, state, local municipal and customer requirements.

20. May serve as the backup in the absence of the Lead Maintenance Technician.

21. Is a champion of safety programs within the RePower South organization. Leads by example by wearing all required PPE at all times.

22. Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
