Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Planner

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

GENERAL-PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Maintenance planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating proactive maintenance work performed onsite. To minimize maintenance costs and effort by maximizing the maintenance planned work schedule, store room and cmms. Work with the maintenance and operations team to drive continuous improvement, equipment uptime and process efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring equipment reliability and uptime through coordination of resources and schedules with maintenance and facility operations.
  • Responsible for coordinating all preventative and planned maintenance activities onsite.
  • Identify labor, materials, tools, parts and safety requirements for planned maintenance work.
  • Schedule planned maintenance work on equipment with facility operations, leadership and maintenance personel.
  • Track and communicate planned work progress with facility operations, leadership and maintenance personel through completion.
  • Communicate planned work backlogs, completion rates and audit reports with facility operations, leadership and maintenance personel.
  • Assist in auditing maintenance work processes, programs and documentation.
  • Facilitate maintenance spare parts area: including cleanliness, orgaiznation, stock levels, usage, replenishment and CMMS (ePAC) information.
  • Assist in maintaining maintenance CMMS (ePAC) for purchase requistions, facility assets, PMs, work orders, inventory, replenishment and maintenance (stock) purchase orders.
  • Assist in using E21 for maintenance (nonstock) purchase orders and receiving.
  • Assist in Brady LOTO for onsite equipment
  • Support facility maintenance in any activity deemed necessary by your supervisor.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Supports safety programs and all required documentation
  • Lock Out Tag Out
  • Follow all Food Safety regulations
  • Follow all standard employee safety practices
  • Work with Corporate safety on open safety work requests and work orders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) at least four years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or related environment
  • At least four years of experience working with a CMMS system and proficiency in maintenance workflow processes
  • Experienced reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics
  • Planning/Scheduling experience within a manufacturing facility
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Strong ability to plan work while being flexible to changes in scheduling needs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be willing to work alternative shifts as needed
  • Must perform root cause analysis (RCA) on all critical system outages/failures and present findings to the maintenance leadership team
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) tools and associated method to drive reliability and an increase in the asset lifecycle
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of inputs to maintenance reliability
  • Must have high proficiency working in CMMS systems to schedule work, execute reporting functions, gather data for analytics

SKILLS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Preferred experience with epac, Maintenance connection, SAP, Maximo, and MS Projects
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write a simple post. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Exercises independent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in performing daily work tasks
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Forklift Certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
