Our thriving pain practice is seeking a self-motivated and friendly Licensed Practical Nurse to provide exceptional patient service for our vibrant pain clinics in Holly Springs and Knightdale, North Carolina. The incumbent must be willing to travel between our Holly Springs and Knightdale clinics, with the majority of their time spent in Knightdale.

We offer competitive salary and excellent benefits! This position is full-time and assists the providers in the clinic with procedures and administrative tasks.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a -4:30 p.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital role to the pain clinic. The LPN will utilize both clinical and administrative tasks to help clinicians in the pain clinic. Daily responsibilities include taking-in patients, assisting the physician before/during/after procedures, in addition to various administrative tasks such as conducting prior authorizations and documenting medical information into the electronic medical records system. The LPN must be attentive to patient needs and communicate any potential issues to staff. The LPN identifies patients needs, provides safe and professional care, and communicates any needs to the provider. The LPN must demonstrate professionalism and tact during difficult patient situations. The LPN will:

• Triage patients
• Take vitals
• Prepare/clean up procedure rooms
• Assist physician with a wide variety of procedures
• Fax notes to other practices
• Document patient notes in EMR (EClinicalWorks)
• Obtain prior authorizations for procedures
• Assist with front desk processes when needed
• Assist with the C-arm
• Handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact
• Complete other duties as assigned

Required Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse and received the licensure from an accredited program
• 2+ years LPN experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Proficiency with EMR
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers
• Strong ability to multitask
• Works to resolve problems or determines an appropriate course of action in a timely manner.
• Ability to multi-task and move from one project to another as needed
• Strong time management, follow-through and organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Requires long periods of standing and walking
• Physical activity can be irregular and fast-paced regularly
• Must possess sufficient eye-hand coordination/manual dexterity to operate medical and office equipment
• Required normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and evaluations.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds with no assistance

Work Environment:

• Work performed in office environment
• Involves frequent contact with patients, physicians, and medical office staff
• Work may be stressful at times
• Interaction with others is frequent and often disruptive
