General Purpose:
The Litigation Docketing Specialist will report to the Litigation Docketing Manager and is a client focused, detail-oriented position that provides multi-jurisdictional litigation docketing support firm wide. This position allows for a fully remote schedule within the Holland & Hart office footprint of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland or Alaska.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Receipt and retention of all court filings
  • Review of legal documents to determine associated deadlines for Federal, State, and Appellate Courts
  • Entry of litigation deadlines into the docketing database following docketing procedures and methods of entry
  • Generate docket reports and respond to queries as requested by attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
  • Monitor cases with the use of various online resources, distributing documents as requested
  • Handle all case team inquiries and requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of 2-4 years litigation docketing, calendaring and civil procedure experience preferred
  • Knowledge of various Court websites, docket searching and document retrieval databases (PACER and various state-based Court websites) preferred
  • Knowledge of CompuLaw a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential or sensitive information

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Colorado salary range -$26.15 - $43.58 per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
