INSTITUTIONAL OBJECTIVES

• Hire well-qualified professionals to provide student-centered, active learning instruction in the College’s academic programs.
• Provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences required to take and pass any State’s licensing examination to practice their profession within the State;
• Instruct students on the necessary ability to work cooperatively as a valued member of a healthcare team;
• Develop and cultivate relationships with employers and network with professionals in Felbry College’s fields of instruction to create more job opportunities for Felbry College graduates;
• Instill in students the importance and obligation to pursue continuing education to remain current in emerging knowledge and skills of their professions and to provide the best possible health care for patients.

Job Purpose

To support the educational, informational and research needs of Felbry College School of Nursing, ensuring that resources are available to enhance, augment, and support all the curricular and educational offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assesses information needs and responds with appropriate library services and resources
• Contributes to the development of library collections and services
• Provides subject expertise in reviewing and making recommendations for library acquisitions
• Develops, markets, and delivers instruction sessions on a variety of library and information seeking skills related topics
• Provides proactive, library user-centered education, research, and information services
• Provides expert reference, searching and research assistance
• Maintains strong professional relationships with faculty and students
• Proactively seeks ways to utilize new technologies to improve library skills instruction
• Provides expert assistance for researchers
• Participates in Felbry College committees and projects as assigned Personal Characteristics:

• Master of Library and Information Sciences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
