Position: Accounting Analyst – Fixed Assets / Leases

Position Summary: The accounting analyst will work closely with both the accounting and fleet departments to enhance financial process and reporting capabilities. Responsibilities include maintaining lease software, maintaining fixed asset records, account reconciliation, review of invoices, month end journal entries, as well as special projects/reporting assigned by management.

Essential Functions:

• Work closely with both accounting and fleet department to enhance financial close and review process
• Fixed Assets
• Update and maintain fixed asset ledger
• Provide quarter-end and year-end reporting to tax department
• Prepare forecasts periodically for financial planning purposes
• Account reconciliation:
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of period close processes and reconciliations
• Provide daily accounting transactions and review
• Lease Accounting Software
• Work with Fleet department to maintain vehicle and equipment leases housed in our lease accounting software
• Work with real estate department to maintain all property and land leases housed in our lease accounting software
• Work with IT asset department to maintain all printer leases housed in our lease accounting software
• Work within the lease accounting software to maintain additions, modification, and terminations of lease data
• Create month end journal entries in accordance with accounting standards for all leases
• Reconcile lease accounting software to the lease accounts in the general ledger
• Provide quarter-end reporting for disclosures
• Business support:
• Provide financial support and reporting for fleet activities when applicable
• Assists fleet department with data requests
• Understanding of standard cost accounting

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree; in finance or accounting or other related field
• 3+ years of fixed asset / general ledger experience within a large corporate environment
• Able to deliver effective results, meet deadlines and targets
• High attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting a plus
• Proficient with Excel
• Experience with LeaseQuery software or other lease reporting software a plus
• Experience with Oracle and Sage a plus
