Our client has been designing and building beautiful outdoor living and landscape solutions for residential clients in the Saratoga Springs/Round Lake area of NY for over 20 years. They want to hire an experienced Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect to design and sell residential outdoor living spaces. Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced design and sales professional who is passionate about creating outdoor living solutions and building relationships with a variety of customers. A great communicator with a minimum professional experience of 5 years in the landscape design field who feels confident in the digital environment. The right candidate for this role must have the ability to sketch by hand, utilize computer aided design as well as 3D Design. Moreover this position requires profound estimation experience as well as intricate knowledge of plants, hard-scapes, site development and familiarity with general sales processes. Project management skills are a plus.

Objectives

• Time Management and Productivity
• Conduct business professionally in a digital environment - strong written and verbal communication skills are required
• Design and sell residential outdoor living space projects that range in size from $10,000 to $500,000 plus
• Increase sales annually in proportion to stated sales goals
• Manage prospects and sales from the beginning of the sales cycle through the completion of the project

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming sales leads and qualify them
• Meet with potential prospects and discuss and define budgets and scope
• Sell Landscape Design Contracts
• Schedule site visits to perform a site analysis
• Design residential landscapes
• Write proposals for new landscape construction projects
• Secure deposits for construction contracts and provide supporting documentation for the office and the construction teams
• Procure special materials required for project execution
• Track and report sales activity
• Upsell projects and services
• Perform site visits to ensure the quality of work and the scope are in line with customer expectations. Advise construction crews as needed
• Communicate at regular intervals to all parties involved in the execution of sold work
• Work with the accounting department to ensure all materials and labor have been billed accordingly

Compensation & Benefits

This positions offers a year-round employment with a base salary plus commission and bonus pay, health insurance including dental and vision, mileage or company vehicle, 2 weeks vacation and holidays, cell phone, laptop, simple IRA match of 3% and other perks like paid training programs, educational reimbursements etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
