GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Acquisition, the Land Manager is responsible for the activities and oversight of land procurement for Goodall Homes Nashville divisions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Land Procurement
· Identify land positions for future community development in related activities.
· Work with Financial Analyst on pro formas for feasibility of land deals.
· Create Acquisition packets and present new deals at Land Acquisition Committee
· Draft Letters of Intent and assist in creating Land Contracts.
Land Entitlement
· Assist the Director of Entitlements on zoning, easement, and related matters.
Administrative Duties
· Hold weekly meetings with Director of Acquisition to drive results and educate.
· Assist in the creation and management of contracts and estimates.
· Assist in the creation of project schedules.
· Create focused land target plans.
Other
· Assist in the coordination with civil engineering, geotechnical, and surveying consultants.
PREREQUISITES FOR SUCCESS:
· Demonstrated leadership skills necessary to lead a department
· Minimum of 7 years’ experience in homebuilding industry
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Land Acquisition
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Preferred knowledge of the Nashville market
