Charon Technologies’ CACI|SystemWare division is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Analyst in the Herndon, VA area. This role is for an independent, critical thinker with a focus on using technology to scale testing to meet the demands of an ever-evolving set of products.

- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts and manual test procedures
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products
- Monitor debugging process results
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- The desire to stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field. Significant practical work-related experience will also be considered.
- Experience with the following:
- Experience designing and implementing automated software test systems for real-time web-based and native applications
- Office and collaboration software including Microsoft and Atlassian Confluence
- Defect tracking systems such as Atlassian’s JIRA
- Test case management tools such as TestRail
- Agile/Scrum development processes
- Testing of web-based user interfaces
- Testing with multiple web browsers
- Systems working with real-time data
- Linux OS
- Possess a solid understanding of computer systems and networking
- Solid written and verbal communications and reporting skills
- Eligibility for US Government security clearance (requires US Citizenship)
- Strong customer focus with the ability to approach testing from a customer’s perspective
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well both in groups and independently
- Solid organization skills with an attention to detail
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using virtual machines to support testing
- Experience with systems working with radio spectrum applications
- Experience writing and implementing software test harnesses
- Ability to learn and apply programming languages such as BASH, Python, and JavaScript
