Job Description for Spa Manager

ThrIVe Drip Spa is an IV vitamin therapy and lifestyle wellness spa that offers customized Intravenous (IV) Drips, Boosters, and Shots to maximize health, performance, recovery, and wellness-all from the comfort of one of our relaxing Drip Lounges. The Spa Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the spa and is responsible for maximizing the location's performance for all stakeholders - customers, employees, suppliers, and investors. The Spa Manager will work with employees, location owners, medical director and ThrIVe management to deliver exceptional customer experience. The Spa Manager in conjunction with location owners develops strategies to drive sales and membership, improve customer service, increase profitability, and grow existing customer base. Finally, the Spa Manager maintains high store standards and conditions, fosters a positive environment, and is accountable for the overall business results.

Heights Store location is expected to open in late May to early June. Will need to have manager hired, trained and in place before opening. Estimated hire date will be mid April most likely.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manages day to day operations of spa - coordinates daily staffing and staffing schedules, administers payroll, operates and manages POS system, ensures adequate supplies, etc.
  • Focuses on what needs to be accomplished to provide exceptional customer service—ensures that spa is clean at all times, stocks supplies, checks the Drip Lounge, etc.
  • Interacts with the customers and works with the nurse staff to help the customer understand the services and benefits and choose the right drip or other products and other services based on their needs
  • Clearly defines and clarifies roles, goals, and expectations for the team. Sets milestones and metrics for evidence of success. Takes responsibility for results. Provides staff with feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations
  • Maintains spa staffing by interviewing and hiring candidates, and onboarding new employees
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe, secure and clean environment.
  • Ensures the spa complies with outlined safety policies and procedures, as well as state and local health regulations. Ensures that wages, work hours, and equal employment opportunities are upheld according to federal and state laws (work with HR&P)
  • Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts, doing timely orders and maintaining inventories. Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
  • Achieves financial objectives by managing P&L items/costs; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Conduct weekly review with marketing team to review performance metrics Develops marketing strategy, advertising campaigns to optimize profitability by reviewing operating and financial statements.
  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers
  • Communicates with Medical Director and head nurse, as appropriate, on all medical related policies and procedures of the spa

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
  • 3-5 years of experience in a customer facing role required; retail management experience and a college degree preferred
  • Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
  • Able to give clear directions and set expectations for staff
  • Able to manage daily operations – manage staff schedules, calculate inventory and ensure adequate supplies, prepare budget and make changes to sustain profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example
