  • You have a robust knowledge of administrative tasks performed in a Windows server environment (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS/DHCP, etc.)
  • You have ample experience with Windows operating systems, server hardware, virtualization, etc.
  • You’re extremely familiar with TCP/IP and Ethernet networks (e.g., VLANs, VPN, VoIP, LAN/WAN); network devices such as switches, routers and wireless access points (e.g., Cisco, HP); cyber security tools and best practices; email systems and mail protocols; automation tools (e.g., SolarWinds); and backup, replication and recovery tasks.
  • You have exceptional troubleshooting skills, enabling you to diagnose and resolve hardware/software/network issues quickly and accurately.
  • You can perform all responsibilities in an ethical, effective and professional manner.
  • You have great interpersonal skills, communicating efficiently both verbally and via written correspondence.
  • You work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment which often requires immediate turnaround, managing stress while remaining productive.
  • You enjoy explaining technical concepts to inexperienced users, and details are never lost on you.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two (2) years in a network infrastructure role is preferred.
  • Experience with VoIP systems (e.g., ShoreTel/Mitel) and/or database management (e.g., MS SQL) is a major plus.

CORE DUTIES

  • Provide third level hands-on system administration, maintenance and operations support, encompassing A/E/C projects and Helpdesk services.
  • Respond to trouble ticket system requests, accurately documenting resolutions for future reference.
  • Maintain, administer and monitor computer networks and related computing environments including hardware, software applications, notifications and hosted services.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve server and storage hardware, software and other network and system-related problems, both virtually and in person
  • Maintain and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations and tasks
  • Maintain, coordinate and implement network security measures to protect data, software and hardware, including anti-virus protection and cyber security in accordance with best practices
  • Configure, monitor and maintain email applications, including mobile devices and related services
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, processes and procedures in accordance with industry standards
  • Recommend changes to improve systems, security and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
  • Perform account audits, log reviews, system file audits, patch audits, service audits and ports/protocol analysis on computer networks, including penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
  • Provide on-call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members.
