HJF is seeking an IT Project Manager II. This position will be in support of the Murtha Cancer Center Research Program reporting directly to the Director of Operations for MCCRP. Will oversee the information technology effort for the research program. Provides analytic and technical support to the MCCRP. Designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies computer programs for the solution of scientific, management or business problems. Works on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises independent judgement selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads the information technology effort for the Murtha Cancer Center Research Program.
  • Develops policies, procedures and expansion strategies to improve the MCCRP IT infrastructure.
  • Coordinates with IT project leaders/participants to ensure MCCRP infrastructure is fully operational.
  • Serves as the MCCRP lead ensuring requirements are met in support of Google Cloud effort.
  • Evaluates and analyzes existing systems and determines needs for new systems.
  • Conducts program data collection and analysis.
  • Devises logical procedures, prepares flowcharts, analyzes and monitors application development, tests, and troubleshoots programs as needed.
  • Manages required actions and reporting for IT projects and helps to develop project timelines; monitors timeline status.
  • Maintains documentation and informational materials, helps prepare presentations and coordinates communications related to ongoing MCCRP IT projects.
  • Makes necessary arrangements for IT meetings and presentations, serves as technical POC for program.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to apply structured information technology techniques and system analysis principles.
  • Strong background in software development and data analysis
  • Experience coordinating in house and contracted software development, IT operations and engineering teams
  • Operational experience with Google Cloud
  • Kanban, Agile and Scrum frameworks
  • Good communication skills.

Qualifications:
Work Environment
  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Vocational or technical training or degree preferred
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience required.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Industry standard PMP certification preferred.
