It Manager
Location(s): Randolph, VT

DuBois & King is seeking a well-rounded IT Manager with 5+ years of experience. The IT Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organization, and execution of all information technology within the organization. The IT Manager performs various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various existing systems and networks as well as future technical solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

• Analyze business needs presented by users and recommend technical solutions
• Maintains the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans
• Responsible for all IT projects and successful implementation and completion timeline
• General IT Hardware Maintenance to include routine support of network and telephone systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system operations, hardware, and software and operator problems
• Process access requests and terminations for employee workforce changes
• Provide information and limited instruction to users on various applications and equipment
• Install hardware and other components such as cables/wiring, monitors, printers, and other devices
• Maintain an inventory of any backup IT equipment and supplies as well as technology
• Maintaining database support, completing, file recovery, and data back up
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Familiarity with different software programs, hardware and general IT schemes, including MS Active Directory and Linux
• Background in the engineering industry is a plus to understand the needs of this business
• Database management
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently in a fast paced environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of experience in IT
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and travel within the company footprint as needed
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and squat for periods of time.
