Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a IST Analyst II (Clinical Systems) for the Department of Information Systems and Technology within the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). Under the direction of the IST Analyst I (Clinical Systems), the IST Analyst II participates in the planning, development, implementation, and on-going support of clinical information systems. Performs analysis, testing and implementation of procedures on EHR and other clinical systems to resolve complex clinical problems. Develops testing strategies according to system build and downstream system requirements. Takes the lead in training Faculty, Students and Staff and assists with the development and implementation of detailed training programs and materials.

Among the key duties of this position are the following;
  • Provides analysis, design, and support of clinical systems.
  • Documents, updates, and maintains detailed project plans and procedures.
  • Performs needs analysis on faculty/staff and students related to clinical technology needs.
  • Interacts with end users and other technical areas to define technical scope, gathers requirements and compiles data.
  • Creates and provides classroom and web-based training to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Creates supporting documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Healthcare, Education or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in information services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
