Position Title: Irrigation Technician II
Reports to: Maintenance Operations Manager

Essential Responsibilities for Irrigation Technicians

• Completing all assigned projects as scheduled, including irrigation start‐ups, shut‐downs, and repairs.
• Adding zones to existing irrigation systems and installing new systems.
• Programming evapotranspiration (ET) and conventional controllers for proper water management.
• Completing all assigned projects as scheduled, and meeting all production goals for the team, while maintaining a very high level of job quality.

• Routinely communicating with clients to answer questions and assuring job satisfaction. Documenting any complaints in Aspire and relaying all information to the Maintenance Operations Manager.
• Completing all necessary paperwork and tasks in Aspire.
• Leading weekly meetings with the Maintenance Operations Manager, including a review of weekly accomplishments, deadlines, and expectations.
• Maintaining current applicable licenses and permits required by state law. Taking classes to earn credit hours needed to maintain licenses is required.
• Training assigned crew members in proper techniques : Standards of Process. Providing clear and prompt communication of any changes to standard operations and/or procedures, as they arise, to ensure that the team is following all approved practices.
• Filling in as a Maintenance Crew Member to provide landscape maintenance services, including mowing, mulching, trimming, pruning, weeding, edging, blowing, plant in stallation, watering, etc.
• Operating and understanding all tools and machinery used by our production team. Possibly operating non‐CDL automatic and stick‐shift vehicles, including vans, dump trucks, and truck/trailer combinations.
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment. Being responsible for the security and well‐being of the tools and equipment assigned to the team.
• Following all company policies and procedures outlined within the Employee Handbook.
• Aiding in snow removal, if called upon.
• Completing any other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of irrigation experience, required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in landscape maintenance, preferred
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in an applied science or agriculture field, preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to read and write
• Self‐motivated, with the ambition and willingness to take initiative
• Highly organized and able to follow processes
• Ability to operate trucks and trailers, as well as large non‐CDL straight trucks and vans proficiently and safely
• Bilingual, strongly preferred

Certifications and Licenses

• Valid Driver’s License, required
• Backflow Certification, strongly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
