Performance Responsibilities

This role will work with the school administration and faculty to:

  • Cultivate and Support a Coaching Team
  • Attend TEAM Training, pass certification test annually and Prek Portfolio
  • Collaborate with Assessment Coach and school administration to plan practice-based group coaching activities and in-class interventions based on the evaluation data trends
  • Conduct classroom evaluations and conferencing for both formal and informal observations
  • Oversee groups of teacher in developing goals, provide recommended instructional interventions, facilitate teacher proficiency, and ensure that the progression of teacher skill development is aligned
  • Collaborate with teachers to promote implementation of effective instruction
  • Diagnose and Access Effectively to Improve Teacher and Student outcomes
  • Evaluate the action steps identified by teachers to ensure they are efficiently and effectively implemented
  • Work with the District office staff, Principal and other school assigned staff to manage teacher performance, including interventions for struggling teachers
  • Work with teachers to diagnose student data to ensure student engagement and improve student performance

Qualifications

Valid Tennessee teaching license

Three (3) or more years of effective teaching experience

Knowledge of effective coaching strategies and current best practices in instructional coaching

Serves as a model for peers and facilitator of growth in adults

Demonstrates strong relationship, organizational, and leadership skills

Experience designing, facilitating, and implementing effective professional development

Exemplary teaching and content expertise

Willingness to continually learn

Experience with data analysis and ability to solve problems

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Familiar with formative, district, and state assessments

Detail-orientated, self-motivated, able to multi-task, function well under pressure, and demonstrates flexibility and good judgment

Demonstrates professionalism in attitude and behaviors

Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Familiar with the TEAM Evaluation Model 1
