Job Details:
Timely and accurate ICD-9 and ICD-10coding, analysis, abstracting and charging of Inpatient records. Accurate and successful completion of correspondence requests and appeal of insurance denials. Responsibilities
- Code, analyze, abstractrecords
- Complete correspondence requests
- Copy records for IPRO, RAC, Tumor registry and other reviewers
- Assist others in chart completion
- Assist in investigating and appealing denials
- Take charts to the patient floor and ED as requested
- Work with various computer programs
- Other duties as needed
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum of two years experience with ICD-9-CM, ICD-10, and CPT coding in hospital setting and/or CCS certification, with knowledge of coding guidelines and principles.
Training/License:
- Medical Terminology course preferred
