Job description
Essential Duties
1. Responsible for promoting a safe work environment and preventing injuries through the use of, but
not limited to, 6S, job rotation, and ergonomic work practices.
2. Assist process technicians with daily mold changes and start-ups as workload requires.
3. Follow all IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures.
4. Adherence to company policies and regulations.
5. Observe production operations to ascertain compliance with methods, quality standards, safety
regulations, production standards, and efficient operation of equipment. Take corrective action to
eliminate any deviation from the pre-established hourly production rate.
6. Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to
continuously improve all areas.
7. Assign daily job requirements to all direct reports on a daily basis. This includes team leaders,
machine operators, material handlers and quality inspectors.
8. Responsible to process all non-conforming parts and products to ensure accurate inventory accounts
within department.
9. Interface with Quality Department on Corrective and Preventive actions for customer complaints and
internal quality issues.
10. Work with the Operations leadership and Manufacturing Engineering to minimize manpower
required on jobs to maximize production output.
11. Understand and positively impact Key Performance Indicators balancing safety, quality, productivity,
delivery, cost, scrap, labor and morale to achieve superior results in all areas.
12. Continuously analyze the assigned area of responsibility for improved methods of production,
communication, reporting, cost controls, and make recommendations to the appropriate departments
to maximize efficiency.
13. Plan and execute the daily/weekly production utilization schedule
14. Conduct daily production meeting
15. Ensure that first shot approval is obtained from Quality Inspectors.
16. Document all problems and process changes and provide action plans with manager.
17. Daily communication with various departments and all levels of management through email,
telephone, face-to-face is necessary in order to optimize the efficiency of the operations.
18. Implement BIQS/MQRRS procedures
19. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
1. Associates Degree
2. 2-3 years’ experience in Plastic Injection Molding and Automotive Exterior Lighting environment
3. Strong leadership skills
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
6. Good interpersonal skills
7. Knowledge of product manufacturing process
8. Strong computer skills with MS Office knowledge
9. Experience using SAP and MES software
10.Basic understanding of OSHA standards
