General Information:
The Quality Inspector - Incoming Materials performs inspection of all incoming components and labels and ensures compliance to all applicable customer and regulatory requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

What are we looking for?

  • High school diploma/GED with proficiency in math; college courses preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in quality inspection or mechanical, industrial, or technical fields.
  • SAP experience preferred.

This position is responsible for:
  • Performs inspection of all incoming components using customer standards, certified test equipment/tools, and ANSI/ASQC inspection standards.
  • Receives incoming labels into SAP, and performs inspection of labels using customer standards and scanning software.
  • Records and scans inspection results in appropriate database.
  • Completes form, fit and function testing on new components.
  • Performs transactions in SAP to contain components and labels during inspection, and to release for production accordingly once inspections are complete.
  • Maintains customer component inspection standards.
  • Creates KDC Label Standards used to ensure customer and regulatory compliance in the Label room and Production Department.
  • Communicates quality alerts to management and Quality Inspectors.
  • Places any components or labels not meeting the quality standards on hold for further quality review.
  • Navigates through SAP to investigate and troubleshoot quality issues and to contain non-conforming components and labels.
  • Performs AQL inspections on potential out-of-spec components and labels, as required.
  • Communicates with management and/or vendors/suppliers on quality issues.
  • Directs and performs all work in a manner that is consistent with the company’s quality system and FDA good manufacturing practices, includes maintaining a clean and orderly production area at all times.
  • Follows, promotes, and enforces KDC’s safety and environmental policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
