Job Summary: The In Room Dining Supervisor is responsible for leading, educating, motivating, and energizing the team to provide a world class dining experience for the Room Service Department. This role will ensure the highest quality in overall operations, employee management as well as food and drink quality, while maintaining daily presentation of their respective assigned F+B department.

We are looking for candidates who possess initiative, dedication, and a true passion for both hospitality and fine cuisine. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of relevant In Room Dining Supervisory experience in a hotel environment. Applicants must work well under pressure, be organized, be a team player, be self-motivated, willing to work extended hours, and must be personable.

The In Room Dining Supervisor reports directly to the In Room Dining Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The individual must possess the following and be able to explain and demonstrate relevant performance:
  • Responsible for operating the In Room Dining outlet operations on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible for monitoring the operations and order for timelines, consistency, and quality.
  • Responsible for assigning daily job responsibilities to service staff.
  • Responsible for managing and training in room dining staff as well as monitoring performance on a day-to-day basis.
  • Takes Room Service Orders and inputs orders into system for prompt order preparation and delivery.
  • Provide ongoing education to team members on industry trends and service etiquettes.
  • Ensure sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhere to all health code regulations and standards.
  • Maintain inventory levels for food, beverage, supplies and equipment.
  • Promote responsible alcohol sales and service and ensure compliance with local alcohol service regulations.
  • Escalate critical issues to the IRD Manager when needed.
  • Ensure all Conrad Nashville core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Oversees and ensures the delivery of all amenity delivery to guest rooms in accordance with F+B standards.
  • Must represent Conrad Nashville’s F+B Department and actively participate/engage with Hilton representatives throughout the processes of the Hilton QA program and all property walk throughs/ action plans presented by Hilton.
  • Additional duties as necessary and assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber preferred.
  • Have strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, attention to detail and knowledge of F+B operations.
  • Extensive in room dining food & beverage experience and knowledge.
  • Experience in a fast-paced high-volume atmosphere.
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform calmly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in training and mentoring of staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management and employees.
  • Ability to read, write & speak fluent English.
  • Obtain and maintain position- specific licensing.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Flexible schedule is necessary which includes but not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must maintain the mental and physical stamina to work extended shifts and days.
  • Must have ServSafe and TABC license
Physical Requirements:
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors, temperature can be very hot with or without control of environmental systems.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to maneuver between stations and areas efficiently and easily
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Requires manual dexterity
  • Must be flexible to work any day of the week, weekends, and holidays if assigned.
