The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing complex and varied human resources and risk management related duties on a professional level in the following areas: recruitment, benefits administration, training and development, employee relations, and risk management. Meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. This position is also responsible for assisting with public information responses, project management, coordinating with on-site consultants, and other work as needed to support the Administration Department.

Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field, and three years of progressively responsible experience; or any combination of education and work experience sufficient to perform the work required of the position.
Special Requirements
Occasional evening meetings or attendance at special events may be required.
Miscellaneous Information
Schedule is generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a full-time, exempt position with an excellent benefits package including health and life insurance, IMRF pension, and benefit time.
