HR Generalists

Batesville Tool & Die is hiring an experienced Human Resources partner to join our team!

SUMMARY: Administers various human resources processes and procedures for all facility personnel; participates in developing HR goals, objectives, and systems.

  • Partners with the HR Manager to evaluate workforce needs for assigned business units.

Conducts full life cycle talent acquisition functions including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and employment offers.

  • Ensures all pre-employment processes for new hires including, but not limited to background checks, drug screens, state and federal requirements are completed.
  • Completes onboarding process through Paylocity with new hires and coordinates new hire orientation.
  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
  • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
  • Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  • Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
  • Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes.
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities and works with FMLA vendor
  • Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment and works directly with Payroll.
  • Manages the open enrollment process; MUST have experience with Open Enrollment.
  • Administers the tuition reimbursement program.
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges with BENEFIT vendors.
  • Back-up FMLA disability insurance administration to include responding to all requests for leave, monitoring status of employees on leave, and communicating conclusion of leave.
  • Back-up Payroll and time/attendance administrator for the facility. Monitors performance management process for all facility employees.
  • Back-up Workers’ compensation reporting including timely reporting of claims for the facility and monitors employee restrictions and return to work status.
  • Participates in ADA interactive process with employees as necessary Updates and maintains employee data in HRIS. Serves as first point of contact for employee benefits inquires.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations including facility OSHA log and related reporting.
  • Leads employee relations activities and HR projects.
  • Provides support and coaching to leaders and managers to appropriately resolve employee relations issues and provides guidance and support on performance management.

  • Training/Tuition Reimbursement Tracking
  • Bi-weekly Employee Surveys- tracking
  • Create content with the help of HR team for Quarterly newsletter

EXEMPT-Salary Range $45,000-$65,000

Required:

Must be Bi-lingual (Spanish)

  • Associates degree in HR or related field.
  • Two year’s experience in HR and/or benefits administration.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related field of study.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)certification credential.
  • Paylocity, Plex, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft TEAMS, Word

Comfortable with technology and willingness to learn other systems quickly.

Monday-Friday (6 am Orientation on Monday’s) 6:00 am-4:00pm (In-office role) however, it can vary based off of business need and it being an exempt (SALARY) status position. You will work more than 40 hours a week. There will be career fairs outside of those hours that will need covered at various nearby schools to represent BTD to actively recruit future candidates. We have visitors from our other plants and could be needed to get them from the airport.

  • Ability to be flexible
  • Cover lunch n’ learn’s on-site making sure all 3 shifts are represented once per quarter.
  • Handle company events, organizing, and execution, which could fall on a weekend.

Provides support and coaching to group leaders and Managers to appropriately resolve employee relations issues and provides guidance and support on performance management.
