Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and professional host/hostess to join our team at Sushi Hiro in Federal Way. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing the waitlist, and ensuring that customers have an enjoyable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant
• Manage the waitlist and seat guests in an organized and efficient manner
• Answer questions about the restaurant and menu
• Take phone reservations and walk-in requests for tables
• Escort guests to their table and present menus
• Monitor the dining room to ensure that tables are cleared and cleaned in a timely manner
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure that guests receive excellent service
• Handle cash and credit card transactions and make change for customers
• Communicate with the management team to resolve any customer concerns or issues
• Follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including dress code and hygiene standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a host/hostess preferred, but not required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
