Sea Level Restaurant at Shade Hotel Redondo Beach, is looking for a friendly and talented Host/Hostess!

Overlooking King Harbor marina, Sea Level Restaurant at Shade Hotel Redondo Beach offers fresh California coastal cuisine, 24 beers on tap, imaginative craft cocktails, and an extensive wine list. Guests can relax with friends and family in our plush outdoor seating with cozy fire pits. With a large capacity of over 200 indoor and outdoor seats, Sea Level is the South Bay’s premier summer dining destination. Our hotel offers guests 54 marina-view luxury hotel rooms, multiple unique event spaces, a marina-front restaurant and bar, and a rooftop Aquadeck, complete with dipping pool, cabanas and lounge with views from Palos Verdes to Malibu. We are looking to hire a Host/Hostess who wants to be a part of our Shade family. While having at least one year of Host/Hostess experience in a full-service upscale restaurant is a must, we are also looking for an individual who wants to join a tight-knit team and will stay a long time and grow with us. Whether you want to keep hosting, or grow into management, we are seeking someone with a genuine love for hospitality and finds happiness through making others happy. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule (weekend availability is a must), and we will do our best to be flexible with you as well. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Monitoring the Sea Level floor, being aware of what tables are available.
• Estimating wait times for guests.
• Ensuring that the needs of guests are met while they are waiting.
• The hostess is responsible for answering the Sea Level telephone, booking reservations, and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.
• Being familiar with Open Table would be a plus, but it is not necessary
• Assist in pre-bussing and clearing all tables after guests' departure
• Contributes to team effort. Being a team player above all is mandatory
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
