JOB DUTIES:

Creates, plans, implements, monitors, and evaluates the Family Partnership Agreements, Family Needs Assessments, parent engagement, health documents and information, health education programs and services children and their families, in conjunction with the Head Start Staff. Conducts health audits on all children; keep track of and assist parents to get all health exams required per Head Start Standards. Implement intake and family assessment procedures to identify family strengths and needs related to the family engagement outcomes as described in the Head Start Parent Family and Community Engagement Framework. Assist in planning and coordinating family education events, and family cultural events; serve as a professional resource for staff and families. Facilitate, plan, and coordinator Parent Committee meetings. Obtain determinations from health care and oral health care professionals as to whether or not the child is up-to-date on a schedule of age-appropriate preventive and primary medical and oral health care; facilitate diagnostic testing, examination, and treatment by an appropriate licensed or certified professional for each child with an observable known or suspected health or development problem.

REQUIREMENTS:

Associates Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Psychology, Health, Nursing, Child Development, Education, or another related field. Experience working with young children and their families is required. Head Start experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Proficient in Tiwa language preferred. Valid New Mexico driver’s license, meet and maintain auto insurance requirements. Must be able to pass drug test, physical examination and background check with NO felony convictions.
